I'm new to the forum. I plan to build a race track table. I have a small wood shop. I was wondering if anyone had experience cutting the plywood with a router. I have a circle jig I can use with the router. I figured the edges would be cleaner vs using a jigsaw. The only concern I have is the router bit would most likely be 1/4'. That would leave 1/4' between the inner edge of the race track and the outer edge of the upholstered playing surface. Too much? Not sure how thick the speed cloth would be on the edges to consume the gap.
I can also use the same circle jig with my jigsaw. Haven't tried either, yet.
Appreciate any advice.
